The Off Road Radio Association (ORRA) is a service focus group of the AAWDC. It was formed to assist the AAWDC membership base in complying with the regulatory requirements of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) when using two way radios. The objectives of ORRA are to:
The Off Road Radio Association issues mainly 29mhz and VHF Radio licenses. The application form and administration of the radio licenses is handled by the ORRA Administrator. Should you wish to apply for a radio license, and you are a paid up member of the 4x4ATV Club, please download and fill in the document below and return it with proof of payment to either the email address or fax number listed on the form. Please complete the form in Adobe and print out. PLEASE NOTE: It is a criminal offence to be in possession of radio equipment which is capable of being operated on any frequency for which you do not hold the appropriate license. Details on the 2009 strategy for this focus group can be downloaded here Icasa has issued ORRA with the
long awaited second frequency. Should you have paid your VHF Licence please
contact Frits (082 604-5812) for the re-programming of your radio. Please note
that only the Vertex Radio's can be Programmed.
