As we all know the Land Cruiser
Club Hosted this years Interclub Funday at Rus De Winter. These guys did a
Sterling job of the event. Everything went according to plan and we would like
to thank them for the hours and days of work that went into this day.
Rus de Winter looked like a mini
Jamboree with all the teams camping there the Friday and Saturday evening.
Friday evening was a very quiet evening and pretty cold as well. The teams
seemed to get a good nights rest in for the Big day that lay ahead.
With an event like this there are always many people that are there to make sure
the day is a success. I would like to take this opportunity in thanking these
people.
To all our drivers and their navigators for entering and having all their
documentation in on time. Thank you to Rina for handling the admin side and to
our team Captain Philip and Mike for being the Team Manager.
As a few of you know we were asked to take over an obstacle 2 weeks before the
event, the obstacle was then changed a week before the event, and Jacque and
Frits had a make a plan to have an obstacle ready in a few hours.
And then to our marshals this is really a thanks less job, A huge thank you to
Renet, Henry, Lyle, Mark, Cobus, and Jacque. And then to the ladies that had
coffee and food available for our Drivers and navigators. Karen, Sharon, Charlene
and Linda.
A Thank you to Deons auto Bakkie Spares, Deon Fourie Snr and jnr, for
sponsoring our T-shirts and caps as well as buying 10 key rings on behalf of the
club for Stop Rhino Poaching. Our team looked great.
A person just has to look at the
scores to see that our team really performed well to say the least. WELL DONE
once again.
